Camphour Street - Ensuite Renovation

The bathroom renovation project involved a variety of tasks and modifications. The scope of work encompassed:

  • Demolition: Complete removal of floor and wall tiles, wall sheeting, ceiling gyprock, existing vanity, plumbing fixtures, and gyprock from one bedroom wall backing onto the ensuite.

  • Doors and shower screen: Installation of a cavity sliding door frame with a new door, and a framed shower screen spanning wall to wall on a 100mm high hob.

  • Internal Framing and Lining: Re-sheeting one bedroom wall and cornice, ensuite ceiling with new cornice, ensuite walls with CFC Villaboard, repair and replacement of wall framing studs and bottom plate, straightening of ceiling framing, and creation of new framing timber for a wall.

  • Tiling: Waterproofing, installation of new floor waste fittings, floor and wall tiles, feature tiling on the shower wall, 100mm high hob for the shower screen, and additional floor topping as necessary.

  • Joinery: Fitting of a vanity with laminate top and two doors, and adjustment of a cabinet with two mirror doors.

  • Painter: Painting of the ensuite ceiling and cornice, new cavity door and door frame, as well as one bedroom wall and cornice.

  • Fit-Off and Fix: Installation of two towel rails, a shower shelf, a hand towel ring, and a toilet roll holder.

  • Electrical: Disconnection and reconnection of electrical components, installation of a new ceiling light, relocation of the vanity power point closer to the basin, relocation of a light switch in the bedroom, provision of power to a towel heater, timer, and exhaust fan, installation of a time delay switch, slimline ceiling exhaust fan, two gimbal downlights, and a 4-gang GPO in the cabinet.

  • Plumbing: Disconnection and capping off of existing plumbing, installation of a new shower breach with a mixer tap on a short wall, and fit-off of the toilet, vanity basin, and mixers.


The team performed exceptionally well in handling the following modifications, leading to a high level of client satisfaction with the outcomes.
